| | (...) Yeah. The BD's with backpacks aren't aboard the Droid Control Ship, so they need transmitter packs to keep functioning. As stated elsewhere, the BD's from the Naboo Fighter are in the DCS Hangar (25 years ago, 14-Apr-00, to lugnet.starwars)

| | | | (...) Actually, the standard issue trooper battle droids ALWAYS wear the backpacks. None of the other droid types wear them at any time. Most of the droids that you see on the DCS & all droids on the other TF ships are either security, pilots or (...) (25 years ago, 14-Apr-00, to lugnet.starwars)
