Hi,
Mijzelf en Ruud Woeltjes, beide leden van de Nederlandse(Belgische)
Legoclub "De Bouwsteen" (onofficieel)hebben van 1 april tot en met 4 april
(elke dag 4 uurtjes) in het Magna-Plaza in Amsterdam een Legoportret gebouwd
van de Star Wars-figuur Darth Maul. Hiervoor waren er 135.000 steentjes voor
nodig, 99,5% 4x2 stenen en de rest 2x2 stenen. Enige foto's zijn te zien op

De nieuwsfeiten zijn gepubliceerd in het Haarlems dagblad, Limburgs dagblad,
Metro en de Spits en op TV op AT5, Jeugdjournaal en Hart van Nederland (SBS6).
Tijdens deze dagen zijn wij geassisteerd door kinderen die langs kwamen.
De actie was een ondersteuning aan het uitbrengen van de 4e film van Star Wars
op video in Nederland.
Me and Ruud Woeltjes, both members of the Dutch (unoffical) Legoclub "The
Buildingbrick" has made a huge Darth maul-face. We made it from 4-1-00 till 4-
4-00 (every day we spend 4 houres) in a big shopping-mall, called Magna-Plaza
in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, assist by passing-by children.
We used 99,9% 4x2 bricks and the rest 2x2 bricks. Some of the pictures you can

This action was for the release of the Star Wars movie, The Phantom Menace-
episode1 on video in the The Netherlands.
We had a lot attention of the TV and newspapers.
We going to make a video-tape with all kind of (Dutch and PAL-system) TV-
fragment of members, reports (some of our clubdays) e.d. of the last 5 years.
You can buy for a small-price of $6.50 exclusief sending- and handlingcost.
Hiervoor was al een(kleine) reportage van mijn te zien in RTL4-Live.
Ivm met de verkeerde uitzenddatum....1 dag te vroeg uitgezonden..... hebben
wij besloten om een video-band van uitzendingen die Leden hebben ondergaan of
andere wetenswaardigheden over Lego samen te stellen.
De prijs voor leden zal +/- fl 10,00 bedragen voor niet leden +/- fl 15,00.

| (...) WOW!!! That's incredible!!! BTW, you've got an image (Lugnet.gif) there on your intro page which doesn't belong. However, there are a few images that you could use in its place: (URL) noted on that, the images from that collection are the only (...) (24 years ago, 13-Apr-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.us, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.starwars)
