That shows someone wasn't paying attention when they built the model. The
two top lasers should have the tan pieces. That's what color they're
supposed to be. I have a large ILM book with several good photos of the
production models and that color is accurate.

This is also an attempt to replicate an often unnoticed texture detail in
the production model. The laser barrel is supposed to have a dark blue or
purple stripe swirling toward the tip like the red stripe in a barber pole.
This really impressed me the first time I noticed it. It means they spent a
lot of time scrutinizing the most accurate model and remembered such
details.
I REALLY hope there are more of these sets and I hope we hear about them
soon!

I also noticed there's a cargo bay on the front of the ship, in the cavity in the middle of the "claw". There are two (...) (25 years ago, 17-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)
