Star Wars Legos (aka The cure for the Dark Ages) —Steven A. Martin
I have been recently (this spring) been rescued from the dark ages by the release of the Star Wars Lego sets. As I explained to my wife (aka - tried to convince her to let me spend money on legos ;-) ), it is kind of like the old Reeces cup (...) (25 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Right on! SW Legos is what brought me out of my dark ages. For at least a year prior to the release of the SW line, I almost invested in other Lego products, but I could never quite justify the expense to myself. But it was SW that brought me (...)          Re: Star Wars Legos (aka The cure for the Dark Ages) —James Simpson
(...) Fortunately, my wife is quite long-suffering and indulgent regarding my Lego vice. A successful strategy that I have found is to spend as much money on her as I do on Legos. This serves 3 purposes: It makes her happy, gives me a little bit (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Star Wars Legos (aka The cure for the Dark Ages) —Jonathan Little
(...) I actually bought one of the little planes from the adventurers set, on a whim (because I thought it was neat). Inside was the little brochure for the SW sets, which really got me going. My fiance is pretty supportive of it. She'll even urge (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) When I heard that Lego was finally issuing a Star Wars line (which I had been dreaming of since 1978), I lost all self-control and bought assorted Knights, Robin Hood, and Indiana Jones sets to supplement the only legos I had, a mint-box 6080 (...)     Ok, I am new to Lugnet and have a few questions as far as general topics. Can anyone suggest where I can go to post them? I am back into the childhood bliss of Lego after about a 10 year absence, thanks to the new Star Wars sets this spring, but (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)
