Ben Fleskes wrote about this in May: he gives the X-wing a length of 12
metres and 34 studs, making it much nearer 2.85 studs/metre, which seems
to be about right for minifig scale.

The X-Wing (33 studs long, 15 meters) comes out to darn near 2 studs/meter, but using the mini fig it's ~2.87 (or for our european friends, 2,87). That's given a 5'11" average (...) (25 years ago, 19-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)
