First, Thanks to Shaun for the kind words.
Sorry, no ldraw pics of launcher. There are some ldraw models of smaller
version that use a small shock absorber, but I used a bungee cord driven
firing pin. The pin has two rack gears underneath. Turning a knob, cocks the
pin and it is held in place by a ratchet. Pushing a button releases the
ratchet and fires the torpedeo. The stress put on the model by the bungee
cord is significant so you need a good amount to structure to hold everything
together.
Right now I have the left rear portion of the hull torn apart as I attempt to
install an escape pod. No easy task, but I'm working on it. Do to a busy
work schedule right now I'm not able to do much with it.

| Ben, I seem to recall that your torpedo launcher was published somewhere in LDraw format. Is this so? I'm planning to build some type of launchers for defense of the fighter base I'm working on, and I was wondering what the minimum space requirement (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jul-99, to lugnet.starwars)
