Ben,

I seem to recall that your torpedo launcher was published somewhere in LDraw format.  Is this so?

I'm planning to build some type of launchers for defense of the fighter base I'm working on, and I was wondering what the minimum
space requirement would be to build a similar launcher.  I'd want to build a rotating/hinged version.

Hi Ben,

I know I've already slathered praise on your Mellenium Falcon, but I
couldn't help doing so again.  Every two days or so I go back and look
over your pictures, and each time I am amazed and awed anew.  Today I
even stared at the landing gear for 10 minutes :).  I truly appreciate
the engineering aspects, particularly with regards to the arrangement.
I'm well aware of how, with unliited space, you can include just about
anything you want ... but that the real challenge is including
everything you want in a space that seems just short of enough.  You do
a fantastic job with it though, and I can only imagine the number of
hours you spent trying to design a layout that made all parts
(pneumatic, electrical, aesthetic, movie storyline, and minifig-related)
fit.  And, as much as anything else, I love your strict adherence to
scale.

I have absolutely no qualms in saying that this is by far the
best-engineered LEGO model I've ever seen.  Please, keep us updated!

Thanks again for all of your hard work.

Shaun

First, Thanks to Shaun for the kind words. Sorry, no ldraw pics of launcher. There are some ldraw models of smaller version that use a small shock absorber, but I used a bungee cord driven firing pin. The pin has two rack gears underneath. Turning a (...)
