Thanks Karim. Actually, I stumbled across this site a few days ago. It has
a lot of helpful pictures, but the one thing I noticed was missing (unless I
scanned over it and didn't realize it) was a picture of the Outrider as
depicted in the Dark Horse comic version of Shadows of the Empire (which I
don't own -- darn!).
I've noticed there are a great many different renderings of this ship. I
guess this is mainly because it does not "exist" in any of the movies --
although the site Karim mentioned does say the ship appeared briefly in Star
Wars: A New Hope, Special Edition.
If I submit something to the LEGO Star Wars contest and Pat Justison's
contest, it will probably be this ship or a slightly-scaled down version.

| Yes it was in the New Hope, right in the scene where the Landspeeder was going into the main city. It is on the lower left. Scott Sanburn (...) (26 years ago, 27-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)
