You have to remove it to open it, which is too bad.  A cockpit that would • slide
forward would be much better.

    I just finished a modified "VanZweiten A-Wing" that uses the Naboo
cockpit, and it slides forward.  It's also got retractable landing gear.
It's not that hard - if you've got the GunGan Sub you get those neat little
"rail and groove" pieces for making sliding components.
