While I didn’t check it thoroughly I think that if they counter-rotated there is space for them both to work on folded-in mode.

(...) Pity LEGO don't make propellers with opposite pitch blades ;) Another solution would be to move 1 or other engine forward 1 stud, or even just extend the prop shaft. ROSCO (18 years ago, 5-Mar-07, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)
