Re: SW E1 picts are up: 7121 Naboo Swamp, 7101 Lightsaber Duel, 7111 Droid Fighter —Karim Nassar
(...) Wow. Is this the first time in recent years TLG has done an official Microfig scale model? (I'm remembering one of my first lego sets, a microfig Learjet). It doesn't look like a droid would fit in this ship, and it certainly doesn't come (...) (25 years ago, 19-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Microfig (...) I think I have to disappoint you. I think it is a minifig-scale robotic fighter. As the name states: A droid fighter, unmanned but at the scale of a minifig. Gerwin (25 years ago, 19-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

The only set we need a clear scan of is Mos Espa Pod Race. Also, is the catalogue that comes with the new sets new? (25 years ago, 19-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: SW E1 picts are up: 7121 Naboo Swamp, 7101 Lightsaber Duel, 7111 Droid Fighter —James Mathis
(...) No new catalog in any of the E1 sets I've opened: the largest of which is the 7131 Anakin's Podracer. Catalogs were the familiar one-sheeter. I have the Gungan Sub, as well. I am considering giving that to a friend of my for his birthday soon. (...) (25 years ago, 20-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) The fighter *is* the droid. The box side view shows the droid in "walking" mode and its non-combat mode. (25 years ago, 19-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Yeah :) I realized how dopey this post was right after I clicked the send button. Oh well. Hmmm, I would be a bit disappointed if the droid fighter actually walked around in the movie... Looks pretty silly to me. --Karim (25 years ago, 20-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) around in (...) They do, there's a shot of it in the second trailer. Some Battle Droids are in a hangar and turn to look past the camera, and behind them are really big droids on four legs, which also turn to look. These are the Droid (...) (25 years ago, 20-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Ahh. Those don't look so bad. The heads are a little dopey. Not exactly the 'furious mech' look. The shot is very short, about 1/4 of the way through the trailer, right after the big ships make planetfall. Steve (25 years ago, 20-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)
