Thank you, Gil!  The wings articulate with click hinges which, as you know,
can support lots of weight when used in large numbers.  My original (smaller
version) design used click hinges for both wing folding and shape.  This
time around, I used TLCs method for shaping the wing with the grey technic
beams like 7166.
