Considering how much I like the UCS X-Wing, I'm still tempted by the UCS
Tie Interceptor (7181). Anyone have any comments as to how it compares
to the X-Wing, or the best/cheapest source for one?

| I prefer the TIE much better in terms of the quality of design. The floppy action of the s-foils on the X-Wing (to say nothing of the poor engineering design) caused me to break it down rather quickly whereas I kept the TIE together much longer (...) (24 years ago, 18-Apr-01, to lugnet.starwars)

| Hi Roy, I have recently bought both, and I like both. For the price, a German retail chain (Real) has them for a realy good price. 120 DM (roughly $ 55) for 7181 and 170 DM ($ 78) for the X-Wing. | (...) Well, the best chance for getting either of those sets REALLY cheap was after Christmas. Target had some ridiculous clearances! I ended up getting the UCS X-Wing set for about $50 and the UCS TIE Interceptor for $25! The clearance prices (...) (24 years ago, 25-Apr-01, to lugnet.starwars)
