Thank you. It is a pure alternate model. The extra black plate 1X2 w/ one
stud from the speeder-bike set sneaked into my version last night. When my
son built his this morning he came up short that piece. Fortunately there was
a red part left over which worked just as well.
Doing the alternate model thing definitely places limitations on what you can
do. Yet I found that having a fixed pile a pieces with which to work actually
helped the building process. I often will go off on tangents when I have
"unlimited" parts to try out.
I was reflecting earlier what a big part Lugnet played in creating the b-wing
model:
1. I got a tip about buying the x-wing set on lugnet.star-wars,
2. I found the schematics to the b-wing from a lugnet.star-wars post,
3. I was able to download my sw parts from lugnet.cad.dat (the originals are
at work), and
4. I found answers to several ldraw questions archived on lugnet.cad.
I love this place! Thanks again for all you do to keep it going and make it
better.
