Thanks for your comments, but I have since modified it again (I'll post the
new pics later). I something fairly obvious I could do (though it was
harder to do than I thought it would be). I cleared out the bottom of of
the front cabin a little bit more so the bottom rack (nearly the same as it
was before) could slide out attached to the top one. That also required an
alteration to the front, i.e. removing the pieces below the opening door.
As I liked the way it looked already, I reworked the pieces by attaching
them to the hatch with my own spare pieces (which are pretty sparse). As it
works now, the hatch opens smoothly and the rack (capable of holding 12
droids) slides cleanly out. I only have 11 droids total, so I decapitated
my 1 martian (wouldn't fit with the head) and clapped him on the rack. I
currently have Chewie at the controls; why? I had no better use for him.
