| | Re: The P-38 Theme Hoverbike
|
| (...) Well Jamie, that's a very succinct staement. It very clearly says 'P-38' while being its own boss self. I like the American Choppers angle. I think we should do some kind of Choppers/ Monster Garage/ Trading Spaces sort of thing in LEGO. (...) (20 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

| | P-38 contest update
|
| I have a lot of entries I'll be adding in the next day. If you don't see yours on the site don't worry. There will be 4 awards. 1 award for best microfig P-38 1st, 2nd, 3rd for everything else. I'm building the prizes and I'll figure out just how (...) (20 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

| (...) Nice job. I think I would have aligned the dish pods closer in, to line up with the two fuselage parts - that would fit the P-38 aesthetic more closely (IMHO). Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (21 years ago, 20-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

|
| (...) And there it is. You guys have 2 weeks left. I'm thinking about award(s) right now. I'm thinking we should have maybe first-second-third place because this contest is so big. (URL) [ j o n ] (URL) zemi.net> (URL) moonbase> (21 years ago, 15-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

| (...) Too cool! Now that's what I call a heavy attack fighter! :-) Aside from the SNOT construction and clean lines, I like those huge dual guns up front, and the missiles. It's amazing how effortlessly you make landing gear, and how you add little (...) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

| (...) Ya, but doesn't the Devastator (the first plane you fly with, at least in the demo) have mid or tip wing rudders (underneath) which also have landing gear in them? So it's not totally unreasonable(1). Besides maybe the wings are made of (...) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

| | Re: P-38 contest entry

| (...) Thanks! (...) That's the problem-- I'd have to sacrifice the clean look for more realistic landing gear. I tried a few different landing gear configurations on the underside of each fuselage but it lost the smoothness. So I'd rather stick with (...) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

| Hey sweet, It looks nice and thick, but smooth and sleek at the same time. From the top you'd guess it was really thin. I like the engines and the guns especially, the missiles are sweet too. I don't mind the landing gear. Often times people (me) (...) (20 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
