(...) Well, this is probalby too late to make the contest, but here is what I came up with anyway. (URL) (20 years ago, 12-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests, FTX)

(...) Well Jamie, that's a very succinct staement. It very clearly says 'P-38' while being its own boss self. I like the American Choppers angle. I think we should do some kind of Choppers/ Monster Garage/ Trading Spaces sort of thing in LEGO. (...) (20 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  P-38 contest update

I have a lot of entries I'll be adding in the next day. If you don't see yours on the site don't worry. There will be 4 awards. 1 award for best microfig P-38 1st, 2nd, 3rd for everything else. I'm building the prizes and I'll figure out just how (...) (20 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

  P-38 Space Contest Winners!

Thanks to everyone who entered. You are all rad and awesome. I'm still building the 4 trophies and I'll show them and display the winners on the contest page in a bit, but until then: The microfig scale winner: (URL) MINI A38 by Miklos Hosszu: The 3 (...) (...) Nice job. I think I would have aligned the dish pods closer in, to line up with the two fuselage parts - that would fit the P-38 aesthetic more closely (IMHO). Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (21 years ago, 20-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Bram, Well done on both entries, and I really dig the second one. It looks more spacey and less A-10 than the first. The hoses are a very nice touch, and you pulled it off working in mini scale (another great touch). -Nick (21 years ago, 9-Feb-04, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.microscale)

-snip- Very stylish Allister. Great colour scheme and really creative design to be seen in this MOC. Most of all, I like how it's slanted forward when the landing gear is deployed. Too cool. ;-D (URL) Mladen Pejic> (21 years ago, 23-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests, FTX)
