Johnathan, thanks for the effort, but Chris Giddens found the set. Its this
one:

Its the small scooter thing in the middle of the picture. I was thinking
that it was just a small set all by itself, when in fact it was a small
"set" of a bigger set.

| (...) Wait. You said that is was dated roughly 80's, could it be the Futuron Hovercraft? Check the Futuron sets, they had many white parts, and a Futuron set is likely the one you are thinking of. Please tell if it turns out to be the Hovercraft. (24 years ago, 6-Jan-01, to lugnet.space)
