Thanks to everyone for all the positive feedback, it is much appreciated. As
usual, I never know when to stop messing with a project and declare it done,
and so Ive been tampering with the Solaris. Based on some comments, and my own
dissatisfaction with some of the pictures, I have done some refactoring to
accomplish the following:
Get rid of the pipes in the front (Im not sure what those were or why they
were there) and increase the height of the radar support tube. For some reason I
find the front end to be far more satisfying now:
The mid-section gun chunk was looking a little barren, and so to accommodate
Sorens demand for missiles, I implemented a missile system. It has 2 positions
for load/launch and I think the added complexity and color enhances this part of
the ship:
The engine area was looking too blocky, and I got inspired to make a change.
This is way better in my opinion, and I dont know why I didnt think of this to
begin with:
I also uploaded dissection photos to show the modules and internal struture:
Folders after moderation:

Im pretty certain that I am done with this project now, and I can start to
devote my attention to my next project - another SNOT SHIP :)
Comments and feedback are always welcome.
Thanks, Jon

| (...) I'd like to see a few overall shots of the exterior. The shots you have are good, but how about side, top, front, back, perspective, and etc. views of the whole ship? Thanks, Jeff (18 years ago, 28-Aug-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)
