(sigh) I'm afraid so.

My website has been months in the making; not because HTML is all that
difficult, and certainly not because the end result is anything close to
sporting the streamlined look of cool sites like lego.kepplah.com or Admiral
Sandlin's Fleebnork Space. It's really because sudden, unexpected employment
opportunities have limited my play time.

So...with humility...may I introduce: Starport LEGO.

Before I give you the URL, please note that I have attached a fairly familiar,
but rather fitting sound-file to the main page, so please keep your speakers on
but not at a perilous level. OK, here's the URL:

http://www.sashellclub.org/starport.htm

It's plain-jane, I'll admit, but it most definitely will remind you of Classic
Space. It's blue and old light-gray with splashes of yellow, red, and black
thrown in for flavor, just like a Classic Space set.

Also, I've added links (both on the Main Page and on the More Links page) to the
websites of who I consider to be the "Gods" of Space LEGO. Were I not Christian,
these 11 individuals would have small, brick-composed altars in my living room.
I've also added links to our other beloved brick websites.

Also, I must apologize for the (how else can I put it) paucity of MOCs and other
eye-candy on the site, particularly in the Large and Small ship sections (Bay 1
and Bay 2). I will try to remedy this dearth in the coming months.

Finally, just to demonstrate to you how behind the times I really am, I once
heard tell of a "LEGO Webring". Does this still exist? If not, what other
LEGOspace-related communities out there can I involve my website with? I already
know about the Classic Space LEGO website.

Check it out and thanks for viewing!

(...) The LEGO Maniacs webring does still exist, you can join here (URL) you just need to register with webring.com on that page if you aren't already. HTH ROSCO (18 years ago, 13-Jul-06, to lugnet.space)
