Re: New Faction: The Bonktrons are coming.

I can't tell if I should be disgusted or laughing. I'll go with laughing. The body is a beautiful thing, so why not use it as a model? Overall, a creative and original MOC, I applaud you for that. Only criticism: perhaps a brown or dark tan should (...) (20 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Still wondering what contest Rosco was referring to when I called Richie on his previous trolling, starting to suspect a pattern, and wondering as to why the frequency of these trolls and mocks seems to be increasing, I decided to go look (...)   Re: New Faction: The Bonktrons are coming.

(...) In what way is this poor taste exactly? Ribald humour is quite an old form of humour (Chaucer springs to mind) and any child viewing it who did not know what it referred to wouldn't get it anyway (if you mean we should 'think of the (...) (20 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.space)

I am loathe to even reply to this post as I am almost sure that Allister is deliberately trying to stir up controversy. I will be the first to say that it is in poor taste though. Way to go for exercising your right to free speech. Nathan (20 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

New Faction: The Bonktrons are coming.

The Bonktrons are a hedonistic cult devoted to nothing but the peasures of the flesh. They are fairly recent arrivals to our quadrant of the galaxy, having spent many years in exile. They were originally part of the Classic Space regime, but found (...) (20 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !!

  Re: Space Tanker

(...) Thanks Teddy. I used grated floor design on my earlier ship Explorer: (URL) Offhand, I'm not sure who was the first to do it. I got the inspiration from "Aliens" and don't recall ever seeing it done with Lego. But I remember someone saying it (...) (20 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Space Tanker

(...) First I want to jump in line about how awesome this ship is! WOW! Great job Dan. Glad to *help*. In answer to the pin vs axle question - With lots of models, the pin connection is just fine. Better with NxN bricks with pins than Technic bricks (...) (20 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Space Tanker

(...) Over all it is a very pleasing ship to look at, I especially like the greeblies. My only reservation is with the underside, it appears to contrasts with the smoothness of the rest of the ship. -Brent (20 years ago, 7-Sep-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Space Tanker

Holy moly! I love the white studs behind the trans-blue tiles in the engines. Very cool smoldering. Ramp is great, too. Is the grill floor feature new? I don't recall seeing piping and whatnot under a grate before. And I was just saying to myself, (...) (20 years ago, 7-Sep-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Space Tanker

(...) Excellent as always, Dan! I like the modularity and the colour scheme, but sorta wish the front crew cabin was larger. It would be cool if you squeezed a small bed in there, like tractor trailers have. Keep up the great work. (URL) Mladen (...) (20 years ago, 7-Sep-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Space Tanker

(...) I was gonna ask about that actually - was there a reason you chose axles instead of pins? Maybe because you found pins werent strong enough to hold the complete ship together? It's just that I seem to have accumulated an over-supply of NxN (...) (20 years ago, 7-Sep-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Space Tanker

(...) Beautiful stuff. The exterior has just the right amount of studs in all the right places too. I particularly like the engines - the trans blue works nicely against the yellow. Nice and restrained use of greebling too. Great ship! (20 years ago, 7-Sep-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)
