I wasn't going to post (Lord knows I hardly ever do), but I did want to comment:
I joined CSF when it first went up, but it quickly didn't seem all that
friendly. No where near as friendly as lugnet.space; I realized that part of it
is probably that many of them knew each other fairly well, even if just online
personalities. Lots of smack-talk and whatnot.
It certainly didn't seem to lend itself to newcomers. It's intimidating and I
can certainly see why it might get labeled as a "clubhouse" or "elitist".
I'll concede that it might not be like that any more - I haven't been back in
months - but I kind of doubt it.
And it's too bad that's it's apparently turned lugnet.space into a ghost town; I
used to enjoy the getting my .space fix from here.

| (...) (URL) Nathan, I'm sorry for your poor treatment as shown above. It was just Tuesday and I'm sure it still stings. As for all this "elitism" and "clubhouse" talk. I don't get it. Its about bricks and building better. CSF is not in competition (...) (20 years ago, 28-Apr-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)
