  Re: 3 Mocs and Goodbye

Ryan, this is certainly very disappointing news. Although you may not be hearing much from me about it, I've always been a fan of your work. I'll certainly be waiting for your return, hopefully I'll still be here at that time. You'd better return (...) (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: 3 Mocs and Goodbye

(...) (snip) (...) Ry, don't know if you'll be able to read this, but if you do, you need to know the following: you'll be missed. I have only known you for a short time, and I have been very impressed by your willingness to help out when the call (...) (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  3 Mocs and Goodbye

If you haven't been following (URL) and (URL) CSF>, then here's my big news: I'm leaving. Two years I'll be away from home in the fabulously dusty and tornadoey state of Oklahoma working as a missionary for my church. You can read more about this (...)   Re: Space Penguins

(...) I love "3-2-1 Penguins!". I wonder how big their ship would be if you made it to scale with the space penguins in this thread. Jeff (20 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Request to move .mecha

We (the curators of .mecha, Mark Neumann and Eric Sophie) have been talking for a while amongst ourselves about moving .mecha to a location that makes it easier to find mecha related stuff on Lugnet. I am formally requesting that .mecha be moved (...) (20 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Inspired by Mark Walsh's very nice (URL) Desperado,> I thought I'd take a swipe at another Apocryphal Blacktron mech.   Re: THX1138 Vignette

(...) Thanks Bruce, That featureless white expanse was a striking image from the movie. Few directors could go there and pull it off. It seemed the perfect thing to take an 8x8 chunk out of to depict as a vignette. The (URL) pic of just the base> (...) (20 years ago, 13-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Homeworld MOC

But I don't think this goes into Announce, proud as I am of it. I've created the first of what I hope to be a massive series of Lego ships for the PC (and Linux, kinda *) game Homeworld. This ship is based on a simple little Mini I built. Here is (...) (20 years ago, 12-Mar-05, to lugnet.people.teens, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: THX1138 Vignette

(...) It was even better than I'd expected, and I knew it was a classic. There were some great moments of humour, too. BART was almost completed when they filmed, so they had access to things they could never get to now. Talk about being in the (...) (20 years ago, 12-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.space)

  Re: THX1138 Vignette

(...) I'm sure it was a momentary lapse, but we'll adjust your prescription just in case. The uniforms were indeed black, but the visors were small and black like the beak of a cap, and the masks were silver. I still await the production of a (...)   Re: THX1138 Vignette

(...) I just saw it tonight too, crazy! What did you think? I thought it was great, even if I'm going to have to watch it again to try and understand anything.   Re: THX1138 Vignette

Hey Prof, I've never seen the movie, so I wasn't sure I liked the extreme whiteness, until I did a quick google search and saw the inspiration: (URL) I think you captured that scene perfectly. (URL) blogged> Bruce (20 years ago, 11-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.space, FTX)
