Hey all, I am currently working on a asteroid mining ship. The aft section of the craft consist of the engineering, living, and processing facilities. the foward section is basically a large shroud in which I hope to put a large drill like piece of (...) (20 years ago, 17-Dec-04, to lugnet.space)

Aside from using the Rock Raiders drill piece (or several?), you might be able to make a conical helix out of a chain of a construction such as this: (URL) (colors for clarity - heaven forbid you use such bright colors in a .space MOC!)
