  Re: All-Natural Space Travel

(...) Given where I think I last saw the vehicle in question (it was in a vision, in the '70s...) are you sure it wasn't the galaxy's 420 traditions? I think the palm trunks as tentacles (which then drive the color scheme as getting black ones is (...) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Tribute to Masamune Shirow

(...) Hey Jean, thanks. Those Bionicle masks seem to make great cockpits for PAs. Takes a bit of doing and imagination to cover the "eye wholes" though. Cheers. (21 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Tribute to Masamune Shirow

(...) Hello Kyle, thanks for responding. (...) 'sob' I have tears rolling down my cheeks. You noticed all the Shirow signs which makes me feel that I accomplised what I set out to do down to the riffle with AP rounds. Thanks. I put that gun together (...)   Re: Tribute to Masamune Shirow

(...) Thanks Adam. I have been trying to use that mask for a while but could not find a solution for the torso small enough to fit. Then, one sunny afternoon I was walking down the street and saw what looked like a Bionicle piece on the floor. It (...) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Tribute to Masamune Shirow

(...) Thanks MP! I was hoping to make the shoulders bulge but I would loose some movement and decided not to go for it... for now. I will try. (...) I agree, I think a revised version of the first prototype will end up released as PA005A. (...) (...) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Yeah, remember that big white and blue space ship at Brickfest?

(...) You missed mentioning possibly the funniest one of all: The Big Red Button marked "Do Not Push" on the bridge. That was hilarious. Now one is forced to wonder, what does that button do? :-) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Future of commuting

Reminds me of the Toyota concept cars in this months issue of Popular Science. You can see a picture here and there are more in the newstand issue. (URL) I like it, Daniel (21 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: All-Natural Space Travel

This is really cool. It's very airy and light, but still doesn't look too fragile. Some really interesting build design in there too (especially around the cockpit...ow, my head hurts now...). Sweet ship! -Stefan- (21 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Tanks or Power Armor

(...) That's not that different than today's tanks shooting while on the move - the recoil is taken into effect, but it's not nearly as powerful as the drive. Also, don't forget that the mass of a round is minute compared to the mass of the tank. (...) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Tanks or Power Armor

(...) I agree! (...) Either that or they’d use recoilless weapons (venting exhaust gasses from projectile weapons, or energy weapons of some sort, or whatever) However I think there’s still the billiard ball effect.   Re: Yeah, remember that big white and blue space ship at Brickfest?

(...) For ships of this scale, the drawer technique works out quite well, though you have to be very judicious in the building of the superstructure to make sure that it doesn't (2 URLs) fall> (URL) apart> during construction :) As for the tail (...)   Re: Yeah, remember that big white and blue space ship at Brickfest?

(...) Hey, high praise from another big ship builder! Always a pleasure. As for the shape, it turned out that greebling the exterior of the Tribunal was unneccessary. In fact, almost every attempt at greebling I tried just looked tacked on exactly (...) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Inside the Tribunal's Shuttle Bay: PCS Paul Dirac

  Re: Tanks or Power Armor
