Woohoo! Love the silver Bohrok eyes at the ends of the front bumper. Hate
how the blue axle-pins that hold them on stand out. Not thrilled about the
two-tone bumper. Its too bad they didnt make a silver 1x5 liftarm, but it
might have worked if youd used a light-grey one and gone with a darker color
for the front grill.
|
Blue pins : I needed some friction pins. I am not sure the beige pins have
friction enough. Hmmmm I would have like to use a 1x5 in light grey, but then
I was stuck with the color of the front grill. Maybe dark grey then?

The Nuhvok face-shield works pretty well as a rear-hinging canopy, but Id be
curious to see what it looks like with a Kohrak face-shield instead. Still,
the two-tone B/W thing makes me think of a rag-top, which isnt a bad thing.

Oula! I am not familiar with all these names! I tryed first with this part in
white / transparent, suiting well with the car color scheme. But using the black
/ transparent one made it look like its a hard top, that you can drop from time
to time and enjoy a wild ride!

Are the hinge bricks in front of the cockpit functional, or are they just
there to hold the side sections in place?
|
Just holding the side sections, and avoiding to have some studs. I like the
greeble style they give.

Youve sparked an intense curiosity in me with the lights. Air vehicles use
red/green navigation lights so you know which way the craft in front of you
is headed, and cars use red tail-lights for a similar purpose plus to show
when its slowing down. Would an air-car have both light systems, or just
one? I suspect using both would be confusing to other drives, but which
system would be used would probably depend on whether air-cars were
free-flying or restricted to designated travel lanes.

Ah! You raise a good discussion here David! I had the idea of building a speeder
when (re-)watching recently EpisodeII. Basicaly I think you need the 2 sets of
lights : one to show your intentions (Oh I have to stop!), the other one to
show which direction youre heading. If someone is flying higher than you, maybe
he wont be able to see your back lights? Then repeating some couples of
red/green, so that they can be seen from any angle would help I think.
Thanks David!
Cheers,
JP.
