In the deepest reaches of the Independent Star Ship "Serenity", the Captain and
a junior officer inspect the cargo hold, where a Marine stands guard.

I built this 'study model' for a couple of reasons - mostly, I was bored and
noticed that most starship corridors I see are all smooth and "nice", and I
wanted to go for a sort of dark, dingy, "don't hit your head on that pipe" feel.

Please LMKWYT, more photos will be up tomorrow, until then, a deep link:

(...) Hi jeff, You've captured that dark and dingy look just fine IMHO. Even though the corridor is six studs wide, some places even eight, all the details and esspecially the lighting, give it a real enclosed feeling. I'd hate to be the ship with (...) (21 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

Jeff- Superb work! I think that little details like corridors and what not can really take a MOC to the next level! Good job!!! Live it up, -Fred (21 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

(...) I spotted this on brickshelf earlier, it's cool. Can't wait to see these corridors in a ship. -Dan Rubin (21 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

Thanks for all of the comments! I really appreciate them. Two more pictures for ya', although to be honest, the original photos got through moderation quite a bit faster than I expected. (URL) shot here is a detail of the cargo bay door. As you can (...) (21 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

(...) this looks fantastic. Even without a ship to support it, these would be excellent sets for a comic. -- Tony Hafner www.hafhead.com (21 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

(...) Excellent bulkheads and other details. This is a good way to start an MOC; I look forward to seeing where you go with it or with the ideas it leads to. I think that many larger ships get built for the outside and the overall form. Then there (...) (21 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

(...) Very nice! Reminds me of my navy days. Some clutter ideas for when you add more corridors: Red firefighting locker White damage control locker Fire main (red pipes) with valves and hose connectors Bulletin board Incident board (board with (...) (21 years ago, 26-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)
