set number 1181 - Space hovercraft... —Gene Weissinger
Where can I find this set.? Pause guide has it as a 1999 set and the picture has what appears to be Japanese writing... I knoe it is simple and small, but I would love to have the set - or even just the box.... Thanks! EC (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.space)

Okay, my stupidity... seems to be Arabic writing... or maybe I am still being ignorant... but definitely not Japanese... sorry for the confusion.... :( EC (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.space)

(...) The writing is Arabic. Did you look for part number 3069? THis is the same set for the non Arabic world. I have not seen this set anywhere. (but that;s not saying much.) GREG~ (URL) (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: set number 1181 - Space hovercraft... —Todd Lehman
(...) Looks like it might be another version of one of the four 1998 Kabaya Space Port sets. (5 URLs) this to .town because Space Port is a Town play theme.) --Todd (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.town, lugnet.admin.database)

Re: set number 1181 - Space hovercraft... —Selçuk Göre
(...) It was a regular catalog item last year, here in Turkey (and maybe in European countries, too). Selçuk (24 years ago, 7-Apr-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.town, lugnet.admin.database)

Re: set number 1181 - Space hovercraft... —Deidre Rushton Brumby
(...) It was not in the annual 1999 Catalog in Australia but was one of a bunch of "impulse" sets that are added to the regular range each year. I think it is still fairly common here. Deidre drb@tasmail.com (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.town)

Re: set number 1181 - Space hovercraft... —Lindsay Frederick Braun
(...) Hebrew. (Maybe Shiri can confirm this?) That's interesting because I never quite realised that they made Israel-only packaging. best Lindsay (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.town, lugnet.admin.database)

Re: set number 1181 - Space hovercraft... —Selçuk Göre
(...) You could be right, it looks like Hebrew, but it's not the packaging. It is a picture from a Lego Catalog. Selçuk (24 years ago, 7-Apr-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.town, lugnet.admin.database)

Re: set number 1181 - Space hovercraft... —Dan Boger
(...) yes, it is hebrew (I'm the one who scanned it :), and yes, it's a catalog picture. I'm not sure if I ever saw hebrew printed on a box before, but I'm not sure - I barely ever bought lego in .il... Dan (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.town, lugnet.admin.database)

Re: set number 1181 - Space hovercraft... —Eric Joslin
(...) Well, I can confirm it, after several years of Hebrew classes. Of course, that was a long time ago, but I don't imagine the letters have changed all that much. eric (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.town, lugnet.admin.database)

Re: set number 1181 - Space hovercraft... —Karim Nassar
(...) I am Lebanese and speak Japanese, so I can definitively say that it is neither japanese or arabic :) My first impression is also that the writing is hebrew. --Karim (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.town, lugnet.admin.database)

Re: set number 1181 - Space hovercraft... —Gene Weissinger
wow... I speak English and a touch (small touch) German, but Lebanese and Japanese that's impressive... About the set: I would love to get my hands on some foreign language (especially this one - because of the space theme). I always thought it was (...)    Eugwe Coral wrote in message ... (...) Set 1181 is very common in Australia. If you go over to lugnet.org.au and ask [1], I'm sure you will find an Aussie who is willing to sell you a few of them. I heartily recommend the set too, it's great, (...) (24 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.space)
