Hi Folks-
I realize this is a little off topic, so please bear with me.
Often times, when I'm working on a project, I'll find myself in need of certain
parts, usually easily found on BrickLink. Unfortunately, it always seems like
no one vendor has *all* of the parts I need. Instead, they're scattered among
several vendors.
Often, my parts order doesn't add up to the minimum order amount. Or, the
shipping costs wind up more than the parts costs (since many stores have a
minimum shipping cost) This is a little frustrating when a small parts order
can easily ship for the standard .35 cent first class mail order.
I was wondering if anybody is interested in experimenting with a little
BrinkLink order sharing. With a small group of 2 or 3 people, we could meet the
minimum order amount, and then one of us could re-send the other folks' orders
via envelope. This may work out well if somebody is placing a "big order" and
the other folks just want to add-on less than a handful of extra parts.
Anyway, just an idea. I didn't want to post this to the marketplace groups,
since that's too big of an audience. I feel that this is the type of thing that
would only work out for a small, tight-knit group (such as Spacers!) If
anybody's interested, let me know, either here or to my email below (so we don't
clobber the message board with our jabbering!)
