snip (...) scifi (...) awsome. I love the saddle bags and the kind of mad max theme of it. Are there other techwest mocs that I have missed. I love it! -tk (21 years ago, 22-Sep-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) Nice job Gil. Cool angles, nice touch with the saddlebag and guns. Now show us a rocket powered chow wagon. :-) (URL) (21 years ago, 22-Sep-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Awww yeah! I like! Funky and beautiful in the best of possible ways. My favorite bits are the horsehead-shaped part on the front and the saddlebag. The minifig looks a little crowded with all those hoses on him. Take care, Soren (URL) (21 years ago, 22-Sep-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Techwest MOC: High Plains Skimmer —Gil Shaw
(...) Thanks Soren! I was hoping to get a 'horsey' feel to it...I think that slope goes a long way. The fig does have a lot of baggage, but that's sort of how I envision techwest...cobbled together mishmash of leftover technology. I do however wish (...)         Re: Techwest MOC: High Plains Skimmer —Keith Goldman
Nice work Gil, you’ve really captured the genre-mix well. I dig the skimmer..the brown saddlebag/backpack is a great color contrast and really makes it work. The minifig is damn funny and has that great cross between western and post apocalypic (...) (21 years ago, 22-Sep-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Techwest MOC: High Plains Skimmer —Gil Shaw
(...) Many thanks Keith....the saddlebag is what really cliched it for me as well. Funny you mention the longarm...I originally had the 30-30 for him, but when I mounted it on the clip, it looked too at odds with the angle of the steed. The (...)
