Firstly, I gotta say this is a really nice MOC. The angled cockpit and air
intakes are fabulous, and the small tail adds character to the whole craft. Well
done Chris.
Secondly, I have a bit of a problem envisioning this as a “escort fighter”. To
me, it looks a bit more like a close air support vehicle (the large intakes and
rugged vertical stabilizers only reinforce this, and remind of the
A-10). The
small size also lends itself to this close-air support role. Escort fighters I
would imagine, would be slightly larger than a typical fighter, due to the
increased range they would need to travel.
HOWEVER...
I’m a firm believer in assuming that the builder is always correct about the
role he brands his vehicle as having. Heck look at my “Avenger”, I called it a
gunship, simply ‘cause it’s a generic term that can be used freely to describe a
number of aeropace vehicles. :-)
Either way, it’s a great MOC.
