I guess everyone missed this <http://news.lugnet.com/space/?n=24915 post>.

<links to all the cool stuff snipped>

This is really exciting!  After all the wierd stuff in the late 90's,
StarWars was a step in the right direction, and now this, this is very
cool...  I could be wrong, but I don't remember the last time $50 bought
that many pieces (the space shuttle - 826 pcs), and it comes with an HST.
Now that's beyond cool.  ;)

Yeah it is. I am going to be saving up and getting at least 4 of those just for
the parts.

Personally, I'm really looking forward to that Saturn V kit, but they all
look pretty good.  It all looks well designed and non-juniorized.  I think
it's great that Lego is working to get kids interested in space again.  Kids
these days just don't seem as excited about things like the ISS, HST, and
Pathfinder as they should be.  And when was the last time anyone went to the
moon?  The 70's?  We're putting robots on Mars and looking for ET--this is
exciting stuff!

Well aside from the Shuttle I am really looking forward to the ISS. If those
solar panels are done like the spaceport ones except in trans-grey, (as they
appear to be,) I can see myself getting several of those for the trans-grey
panels. Of course I would not be applying the stickers, I want them for moonbase
windows. :-)
