Why? Is it supposed to be this way?

Well... I don't think it's "supposed" to be that way, but that's how a lot of
them seem to get with age... a whole lot of mine do that, but not all of
them...

Some are also just poorly manufactured... The first two king's crowns that I
purchased both fell off at the slightest tap, even when new, but the newer
ones I've gotten aren't as prone to fall off... I also get the problem with the
'king kahuka' hats from the islanders and also the old style aquanauts stuff...
But I don't think they're "supposed" to do that... more just accidental or
fading with age...

The helmets have two places like in the new helmets, where, I suppose, a
visor can be connected. I have not seen this on any pics on the web. Again.
is this OK?

Actually, the only place I remember ever seeing a visor being used is in the
very old castle stuff-- see:
http://www.brickshelf.com/scans/6000/6075-1981/
That shows some of the knights with the old-style space/motorcycle helmets, but
with a visor & plume piece that attaches, making it into a knight's helmnet.

(...) but (...) Good call. I was mistaken...pre-87 helmets had visor capability. (25 years ago, 20-Oct-99, to lugnet.space)
