I've come across a piece I cannot identify. I'm stumped. Does anyone know
what this is?

(...) know (...) Looks like Flex System linkage. The Flex cable is a small diameter hollow tubing setup with a central spine cable that is capable of moving inside the tubing. One or bot ends will be terminated in the piece you've shown, I believe. (...) (25 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.space)

Hmm, it is not space. Well at least I've not seen it in a Space set. It is from a Technic Flex System Set. See it in the 5118 service pack: (URL) are common in technic aircraft sets - as they can be used as control cables, I think there is a (...) (25 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.space)
