  The Quasar

Hello all, A new fighter has been put on the ULF website. The link is here: (URL) Quasar is considered by many Starforce Engineers to be the Transaerospace Forces' finest achievement. The Quasar features a cockpit made out of very high-grade (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build)

OK, well, at the risk of being accused of saying its PrettyGood TM its PrettyGood. meaning, its a lot better than other stuff you've done. you are getting a cool feel for shape and color and hiding stuff in your ship like sandman does sometimes. i (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: The Quasar

Cool. Like Paul said, the first thing I thought of when I saw it was "racing boat". The shape of it is really pleasing. I think that the sporadic black and antifreeze bits detract a bit from the model. I makes an otherwise clean design look kind of (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

That's very cool. The melding of slopes in this is nice, and you've done a good job on making this believably wingless. The engine structure on the back gives a nice feel to this, and the lifting part out of the compartment is just plain brilliant. (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: The Quasar

(...) Well, I didn't originally intend for it to look like that, it just... got that way, hehehe. But I guess it's shape doesn't really matter, since its intended only for space. (...) Thank you. The only way I was able to get it that way is because (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) Thanks. It's meant for space travel only, which is why no wings are needed. (...) I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for responding! Curt Tigges ~~---...---~~ Home: www.commandercurt.net AtlantiSearch: www.commandercurt.net/atlantis LEGO: (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) That's what I was trying for. :) (...) Hehe, thanks! The SRM Launcher (the unfolding part) was the hardest part to build, due to the fact that it had to fit in just right, or it wouldn't come out. (...) Curt Tigges ~~---...---~~ Home: (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: The Quasar

Those Alpha Team canopies really are a great jumping off point for a model, aren't they? With the exception of the hinging problems of course :) I think this is your best to date Curt, definately the most streamlined. You've done a nice job of (...) (22 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)
