This is really wild stuff Tony. The amount of research that went into this
project is obvious from the first look at it. The backstory on the suit and
the technology behind it (I'm assuming that was gleaned in part from that
Popular Mechanics issue you posted about a few weeks back) has produced a
very intelligent and cogent design IMHO.
However, being more of a vehicle freak the SpyderNest takes the cake. The
combination of a contemporary amphibious crawler design, 'smooshed' with
what to me looks like an anime inspirated texturing and engreeblement has
produced an incredibly 'realistic' design. The use of SNOT techniques,
angling thru classic hinge joints and 'visable stud reduction' looks just
wild. I'm a big fan of this one. One question....those back struts that
look like tapered SW wings....the open boxes at the end...how are they done
and with what elements.
Looking forward to being on DSL and checking out the .mpd
