Wow!  That is cool!

Thanks, John.

The gray version looks good.  Too bad cameras don't like black.

I know. Although all Lego models are better seen in person, I think that
models built with black pieces really have to be seen in person to truly be
appreciated.

I really love your style on this.  The melding slopes combines with the
small amount of (but really great) greeblies.

Thanks again. I tried to incorporate a "less is more" approach with the
Piranha.

What did you use for the engine?  I see a cool trans-red flare in the back
but not very much because of the camera angle.

The gray version uses 4 trans-orange 1 X 2 bricks stacked vertically. Of
course, behind the orange is a stack of white bricks to keep the orange
looking vibrant (actually, I used white 1 X 2 corrugated bricks for added
detailing behind the trans-orange).

p.s. Are the Dipwads still stumbling around the universe?

Yes. They are all geared up for their next adventure but the author is
currently held up by his own procrastination.

p.p.s. Man, I need to get myself some brasso.  Where do you get it, and how
much does it cost?

I think I got my Brasso at Target for about $3.00. It does take some work
to get those UFO decals off but I think it's definitely worth doing. The
Lego purists may not approve of such alteration, but I think those saucer
sections become pretty useless because of those gaudy decals, unless you're
building a UFO/alien craft. Plain gray is way better to work with.
