Thread it is!

I suppose it was a combination of things.  3 years ago Karim Nassir had a
ship called the Titantium Goose(?) that really peaked my interest for Lego
again in general.

Once I came across LUGnet, would have to say a few MOC's gave me the final
shove:

Paul Hanson's Planetoid Prospector
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=8613

Todd Trotter's Recon Sighthound
http://www.lugco.org/todd/sighthound/

Jon Palmer's spacetruck
http://www.zemi.net/lego/truck.html

All these models inspired me with their cleanliness (okay...the Prospector
isn't clean, but it's greeblies are somehow logical)  and design=purpose
approach.

These are just a couple that stood out, but honestly, the skills and
innovation of the .space group are just phenomenal....provides at once both
entertainment and education.

Hey, Gil,
Glad to hear I'm not the only one doing more lurking than building.  Maybe
we should start a contest (or just a thread): which MOC pulled you out of
your dark/dim ages?!
