Well I was disassembling and sorting when the building bug bit me. I wanted to
build something that would work with a moonbase module, when I finnally get to
build one. I also wanted to build a Space Tank that actually looks like a tank.
(Do not misunderstand I think the space tanks most people build are really cool
looking, I just wanted to make it so someone could look at it and know that it
is a tank without needing to be told.)

The Galactic Confederation's latest heavy ground unit the Rak'lon Heavy Tank is
designed to defend moonbases from Mecha attacks. Like all practical military
units it is recommended to operate this unit as part of a well rounded military
group.
The Tank is designed for amphibious all-terrain use. In addition to floating,
it has combination wheel/hover units to allow the Tank to move over ground even
when hover units are inoperable due to jamming fields.
Armaments include; 1 HITBAD Cannon (High Intensity Tight Beam Aggregate
Distortion Cannon- a 'directly away form the emmitter' assault weapon,) 2
medium Xlazer (Xlazic Plasma Laser- an omnidirectional defensive beam weapon)
nodes positioned for Anti-Air/Space, 4 small Xlaxer nodes positioned for
Anti-Infantry, and 8 Swarmer missile launchers. (Each missile launcher has its
own Nanoforge capable of manufacturing 1 missle per second, with a total
storage capacity of 10 missles, and a fire rate of 10 per second. This allows
one Tank to fire an initial salvo of 80 missiles with a sustained barage of 8
missiles per second thereafter. Swarmer missles are effective against both
air/space and ground targets.)
Power is generated by 2 seperate gravi-flux reactors. One reactor is in the
drive section the other is in the turret section. Each is capable of powering
the entire Tank.

| Hi. You got a cool vehicle there but it looks more like an armored car or mobile artillery than an actual tank. I think it's because of the cockpit and the fact that you used wheels. Just my 2 cents. Fradel (...) (22 years ago, 22-Aug-02, to lugnet.space)
