I realized it has been almost 2 and a half years since I really posted a
significant MOC.

Well here is my Ice Planet 2002 contest entry under catagory X: Ice Planet
Unlimited.

I decided it would be fun to build a ship that was not only symmetrical left to
right but also top to bottom.  The hard part was doing it while maintaining
'studs up' construction. (mostly)  The only prior planing I used was the fore
knowledge that I wanted top to bottom symmetry and that I wanted opening
docking ports.

Ladies and Gentlemen I present my experiment the G.C.S. Symmetrical

The pictures were taken with a cheap film camera so the close-ups are kinda
blurry.  As much as I keep trying to save for a digital camera... well this
time I need new tires. (the non-lego kind)  :^)

P.S. The designation G.C.S. stand for: Galactic Confederation Ship

(...) That's pretty symmetrical. But, the 'M' shape on the blue stripe destroys the top/bottom symmetry: (URL) bet it wouldn't take a whole lot of modifications to make it symmetrical in all three directions. Jeff J (22 years ago, 20-Jun-02, to lugnet.space)
