I just want to introduce myself:
My name is Jean-Baptiste (JB), I'm a 30 years old french classic space fan.
I think I'm an AFOL but I still feel young (and proud of it!)

Hi and welcome.  I've been collecting space sets since 1980.  Lugnet will be
your home now as it has been mine for three years now!  Actually I don't
post very often any more (except maybe today).  At any rate, every burning
question eventually gets answered here.  Except maybe this one:

Here's my question:
The black minifig of my 6891 set (bought in France in 1985), was delivered
with a bonus light grey Jetpack (with black levers, black cones and a
trans-yellow 1x1 round plate).
This Jetpack does not appear on building instructions.
Does anyone owns the same version of this set?

I don't recall my US version coming with one.  It doesn't show up anywhere
in the manual or on the box.  Not even listed in the peeron.com inventories,
but those are too new to be truly reliable in this case, IMO.

Now, the 6702, released the same year, and came with a black spaceman and a
jet-pack matching that description.  Is it possible your figures just got
mixed up?  17 years was a long time ago.  Perhaps your memory is mixed up.

Yeah, that's what we do here at Lugnet!  When we can't answer any questions,
we shove 'em back down your throat and say "you must be mistaken."  :-)

P.S.  The Gamma-V is one of my top 5 favorite sets!  The clear-yellow
antenna...something about it...such a strange color choice.

Hi Dave, nice to meet you again!(remember the blue minifig with stickered
insignia.)
My memory is not mixed up: the levers of my jetpack are completly black (not
light grey base like 6702 set).
I still have the box of my 6891 set and this Jetpack does not appear on it!
I don't want to sell this set, I just want to know if someone has had the
same surprise (I mean it's not a question of business, just a question of
curiosity).
I've been collecting space sets since 1980 too (see my member page).
I agree about the Gamma-V: it's a wonderfull set (and should have been a new
direction for designers...)
Let's keep on conquering the moon!
JB
