Is it ok to substitute a few pieces in CAD models?
Basicly, as far as I am aware, the folowing parts that were used in
official IP2K sets dont exist in cad form:
the 3 printed heads
the special visor design
the printed version of the raised baseplate from the base (the unprinted
version does exist however)
and the various parts that feature the ice planet logo.
Is it ok to substitute unpatterned parts for the patterned parts (or
e.g. a regular head for the ice planet special heads)? Is it ok to
substitute a regular visor for the ice planet visor?

I understand your dilemma. The rules will probably be similar to the BT1
Contest (see http://www.calpoly.edu/~tsciorti/bt1com.html) although they are
far from having been finalized.

Design your LDraw model using what elements you have and if you feel up to
it, you can create the missing elements. :-) You will have to share them, of
course. But it will further advance Ice Planet 2K2 for all. I am not sure,
but there might be some unofficial elements at http://www.ldraw.org/

x-posted to .cad.dat.parts in case someone has some Ice Planet 2002 parts
