  Re: Couldn't resist

(...) Tim, in this statement, his words ARE insignificant because they are incorrect, even though he IS an astrophysicist. This is what Mister Paul Hertzog said to me, 'What the flipping space monster burgers are you talking about? Friction in (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jun-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Wings [was: Re: Building big]

(...) Okay, Jesse. I can't be a spectator to this anymore. If anyone said a spacecraft with wings would have its wings torn off they would be wrong obviously. The Shuttle model we use now has wings, but they are only on it for its atmospheric (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jun-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Couldn't resist

(...) Spare the attitude man, until you do, don't go wondering why people post harsh replies to your stuff. You come off as a know-it-all, even if someone who has education in a particular field counters your statement, you find a way to try to make (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jun-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: LEGO® Trademark usage (was: Wings )

(...) You could simply use "bricks" and "plates" since this web site is dedicated solely to the LEGO brand of brick everyone will know what you mean. (yes, I know there are other areas where you can discuss the dark side brands, but we don't like to (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jun-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.space, lugnet.general)

  Re: Couldn't resist

(...) Jesse, I have a couple of things to write about. The first is regarding friction in space. I agree that there MUST be friction in space, otherwise anything held together with a nut or bolt would come apart. The second is in regards to your (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jun-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Wings [was: Re: Building big]

(...) There was a man who asked me about eating soy and I simply said that I did not like soy because I am not exactly a vegetarian, that and I decided to be humorous (as opposed to being annoying or rude, which many people on Lugnet seem to think I (...) (...) By quite a coincedence, my library has the Star Wars Trilogy and I would like to rent those movies but my parents would probably stop me because I have seen each movie about five times in two years and possibly as many as a dozen times in my (...)   Re: LEGO® Trademark usage (was: Wings )

(...) Thanbk you for sharing the information, Kyle. You are correct in showing me that I should say LEGO bricks and LEGO plates but even with these rules, you still violate proper grammar so how would you replace LEGO bricks and LEGO plates with a (...)   Re: Wings [was: Re: Building big]

<snip> (...) Ahem I dont know if any one has corrected you, and I hate to be nit picking but the M.F. flew into a "cave" not a crater in the SECOND MOVIE called The Empire Strikes Back. thank you (24 years ago, 25-Jun-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Wings [was: Re: Building big]

(...) I have heard that space craft with wings would become torn apart by the impact of flying in space. How do you know that these conditions will exist in space? People thought many centuries earlier that the earth is flat yet is is almost (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jun-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Couldn't resist

(...) Does your title of an astrophysicist amuse me? Have you worked with such people as Carl Sagan or Issac Asimov? I have not worked with these people but then again, neither have you so I think I will become skeptical of every aspect of outer (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jun-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Wings [was: Re: Building big]

You are correct about the Super Star Destroyer comment but I know that it was in Star Wars that they ended up inside the space slug (which I believe appears to be an early ancestor of those worms in another science fiction story named Tremors) (...)
