  Re: New MOC: Disc Racer

(...) This is gorgeous Bram....so elegant. I tried to build a similar craft a while ago, but couldn't coax a convincing oval out of 45 and 33 degree slopes...using the long convex curves works wonderfully. Placing the cockpit on an angle works so (...) (22 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: 12 x 886 Space Buggy

Derek: At dinner when you showed everybody your big set, I will begrudgingly admit that it was kind-a cool. good job. although a robot would have been a better use for those gears. (smirk) Chris p.s. i still think your a freak for doing it. (unless (...) (22 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Technic scale bike fun

(...) I think you failed the Technic scale modern motorcycle scale thing, but it's still a good MOC! Perhaps the Belville figures is a better fit? I recall something about them being bigger. Also, the "seat" is unreal. But so are the Minifig horse (...) (22 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space, lugnet.town)

  Re: New MOC: Disc Racer

(...) Now that I've seen it in person, I'm really impressed with the SNOT techniques on this, as well as how round the whole shape was made with all those slopes. A very nice job! Adrian (URL) (22 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: New MOC: II-Blade

(...) I like the way the wings are angled. Too bad you didn't build it so that it could support its own weight *grin* (for those not there that night, I told him he ought to angle the wings because they would look nifty. He then bitched at me for (...) (22 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: 12 x 886 Space Buggy

(...) Wow, this is supremely cool. I love how every brick has all of its details shown built in, like the studs and the stud holes on the undersides of each brick, and your minifig is very well done indeed. Adrian (22 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Technic scale bike fun

(...) Maybe it's just a midget on a regularly sized bike :) Thanks though Adrian (URL) (22 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Technic scale bike fun

(...) Thanks. Surprisingly enough, this set here: [LEGOSet 4095] Has a fair number of lime green parts, including the wheels I used on the Samurai. Eric Sophie gave me the lime green parts from one of these as he was driving back through town after (...) (22 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: New MOC: Top Cat

(...) Thanx Paul! It was not that easy to get the cockpit right and it is still not exactly the way I like it, but nice to know that you think I'm on the right track. Curved slopes are great. I agree with you on the engines and I am taking apart a (...) (22 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: New MOC: Top Cat

(...) Thanx Fradel. The story is a mix of imagination, way too much sf reading and tongue-in-cheek writing in response to all the masculine stuff on LEGO Space sites. I'll try to build and write more. Thanx for the praise! Love, Sylvi (22 years ago, 19-Oct-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New MOC: II-Blade

(...) Two great ships in a short time! I'm impressed. The shape of the wings or blades is really innovative and I love the oversized look of it. I do not object to the front of the cockpit! Love, Sylvi (22 years ago, 19-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: 12 x 886 Space Buggy

(...) I wanna see a supersized 6973. Course there isnt enough trans-fluro-orange on the planet to do that :) (22 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: 12 x 886 Space Buggy

(...) <wipes tear of nostalgia from eye> A fitting tribute to the one that started it all. That, along with 885* were the first space set I ever received. Was that really 25 years ago? yoiks! Well done. Allister * any chance of supersizing 885 as (...) (22 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Hog SS Chopper MOC

(...) Best one yet. You've packed a lot of very clever parts use into a very small model there. Every iteration you go through gets better and better. I can't wait to see what you come up with next, but considering you're current rate of output, (...) (22 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: New MOC: II-Blade

(...) You've certainly got the studs going every which way on this one. Very well done. I agree that the rear view holds the most interest. The trans fl.green, whilst not the most favoured coour in the box, works very well here, and the tiles for (...) (22 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: New MOC: Disc Racer

(...) I recall thinking at the time 'how on earth is he gonna pull that off', and by golly, you did an outstanding job. (...) I think you're right. Is there no limit to the usefullness of those droid arms? (...) The only thing in an otherwise (...) (22 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: 12 x 886 Space Buggy

(...) Simply amazing, Derek. When we first saw it at dinner, I think we were ALL blown away, robot and train fans alike. Like you, I was also a big Classic Space fan too! (URL) one time violation of the shoebox rule (grr) was well worth it. :) Calum (22 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: 12 x 886 Space Buggy

WOW. That is cool. That is certainly a LOT of trans-green. (22 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: 12 x 886 Space Buggy

(...) Cool. Now if only LEGO would do a similar thing with the soft Dacta bricks :-) Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (22 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)
