  Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout

(...) Mama always said if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all. But this is part of my concerted effort to get back into the swing of things, if you will. (...) Aah, the irony. Very good sir. -Chris (22 years ago, 4-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Some bots (or fun with SW mini sets)

Hi y'all, I just got the SW mini sets from series I, and figured I'd do a little restricted part build using only the mini sets (since the rest of my collection is in storage at the moment). Here's what I ended up with. (6 URLs) Not much, but the (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Kalashnikov is ready for Battle.

(...) Went through all of the pics (URL) shows a real nice use of repeated elements. overall, its a good build, but here are a few comments: 1) the light grey is great for greebs but not so good for plates on this ship 2) the engines are too small (...)   Re: The Kalashnikov is ready for Battle.

(...) Excellent work, Lenny! During your construction pics, I wasn't quite sure what the end result was going to be. Would it be boxy? Would it be a flying tube? Would it be flat and wedge like? It all looked very promising, but the outcome was (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Kalashnikov is ready for Battle.

(...) Long live the Revolution! I really like the overall shape of this ship and the way you made the greeblies really a part of the design and not something you whipped up later. Congrats and love, Sylvi (22 years ago, 4-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout

Lovely little ship in the best colour scheme I can imagine (just take a look at my own creations...) and I can see in my mind's eye many of these little fellas moving around in some futuristic setting. (...) Hehe...I can always count on you Chris for terse honesty in your feedback. Good to see it again...you and it have been missed. :) In part I agree with the shape issues (see my reply to Paul for the details). I like the rear, 3/4 angle, but (...)   Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout

(...) Thanks Paul! As said upthread, this was a quick n' dirty little thing just to get my hands in the bricks again before I forgot how.
