(...) My own very humble opinion on this matter says that you might be out of luck if you want to restrict yourself to retail stores. My last several purchases were either via Lego.com or from BrickLink. S@H has some bulk packs and accessory sets (...) (21 years ago, 30-May-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) I like the first three the best. The remaining four are beautiful models. But they don't have that LEGOLAND look--primarily because of their lack of plates. Yesterday, I stood in my local WalMart LEGO aisle staring at the sets. Nothing really jumped out and said, "Imagine the possibilities!" Most of the Star Wars stuff is just too brown for my taste in space MOC's, especially with the current PCS (...) (21 years ago, 30-May-03, to lugnet.space)
