One way to increase the friction on a single plate motion (like a swing-wing aircraft for example) is to use 2 of them...one on top and one on bottom with the plate sandwiched between. Surround the turntable on the bottom surface with tiles and the (...) (22 years ago, 15-May-03, to lugnet.space)

It's funny you mention that because this is actually a narrower version of a much larger box that I just couldn't get to look right. In this case I wanted the ship to look like an oversized traditional brick :-) Thanks for the reply! (...) (22 years ago, 15-May-03, to lugnet.space)

Grand Admiral, Hmm...I was referring to the sliding door format itself. After looking at hundreds of pictures of hundreds of models over the past two years it's hard to recall exactly where I got that idea from...but I wanted to give credit where (...) (22 years ago, 15-May-03, to lugnet.space)
