  Re: Building Rant One

I'd like to chime in on this discussion. Partly because I'm a subSHIP builder (a SHIP being 100 studs, and mine usually got at ~70), and I know the difficulty in designing and building anything that big. I've got four attempts under my belt and I (...) (22 years ago, 14-Mar-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: 3 new MOC's

(...) <el snippo> (...) Great job Austin. I really like what you've done. Like the others, the only comment I can make is on your pictures. They are nice and clear, but I think an upper 3/4 view would be nice so that the shape of the whole craft can (...) (22 years ago, 14-Mar-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: My UCS Super Star Destroyer MOC

I thought the Executioner was 10 times the size of a ISD... At least in ROTJ an ISD spears the center of it when it 'falls' after being shot down. (That scene was bogus because it a zero g with no atmosphere the ISD would have just stayed i the same (...) (22 years ago, 14-Mar-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: My UCS Super Star Destroyer MOC

(...) Looks a little small to be UCS, but as a microfig scale SSD, it appears to be right on. The pictures obviously aren't the best of quality, but you can definitely see the right shape there. Adrian -- (URL) (22 years ago, 14-Mar-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: My UCS Super Star Destroyer MOC

  Re: 3 new MOC's

Good stuff Austin...the PCS colour scheme is definately on the money. I quite like the design of the Peregrin -and the name...just built something myself called that - now I'll have to change! ;) The engine manifolds on the Kestrel look good (...) (22 years ago, 14-Mar-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Building Rant One

Great topic Paul...and one that constitutes many of the challenges I find I face in my own building. A few people have asked why I haven't really built anything longer than 25 studs or so. The answer is not from lack of desire, but rather the (...) (22 years ago, 14-Mar-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Dilema

I would say wait longer depending on how many are left and big of a LEGO market your area is. They should start putting all the underwater Alpha team sets on clearance soon to make way for the summer features. t (22 years ago, 14-Mar-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Building Rant One

(...) It depends on the real purpose behind designing the ship. You describe it as 'details'. I see it as something different: features. I always design the ships with what features I want in mind. Sometimes big ships are the result. For instance, I (...) (22 years ago, 14-Mar-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Dilema

(...) Um...tough call. The items that make this set pretty desirable is that this has the most canopies of any set, including some clean canopies. I got two for that reason. The arms are also in the set, but that's not too big of a deal to me, as (...) (22 years ago, 14-Mar-03, to lugnet.space)
