Yes, B5 ships actually obey the laws of physics by accelerating and deccelerating. Unlike 'Trek. In ST the ships always act like atmospheric vehicles, namely in the manner that they don't have to deccelerate/reaccelerate to turn around. (24 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

I think what they are using is the "electric light & sound colored globe" but in a non transparent color. (24 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.space)
