Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update 08/17/01

(...) Glad to be of service, Mark. Cool mecha- I really dig the cockpit and head design. Nice use of the drills on the cheeks. Later, Todd Amacher SILICON PSYCHE (URL) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: I got bored so I tried creating my first micro-scale ship.

(...) Well, I reckon it's pretty darn good actually. I like how the body of the ship dwarfs out the bridge. gives it a sense of being massive. Trav (24 years ago, 22-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)

I got bored so I tried creating my first micro-scale ship.

The subject heading says it all. It's a small class-A frieghter. It's a very simple design primarily due to the fact that very small parts are in short supply with me. (I know it's a 3-D image, but I prefer to build my models with real bricks before (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: synergy?

(...) I think that a lot of people, if not everybody, has improved their skills. (...) Well, IMHO, when ideas become so overused, they start to reverse the whole creative process. I *attempt* (don't always succeed though), in almost every model, to (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: New Mecha - "Tortoise" Next-Generation Land Mecha

(...) "less detailed" It has a curved gun clip! It's not flat either (sides have tiles), the bottom is detailed too (with the 1x2 hinge top and the handle). I just think it is unfair to say this, since I can't put gobs of detail on a small object. (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: New Mecha - "Tortoise" Next-Generation Land Mecha

(...) it just seems less detailed than some of your stuff... now that i think about, the pic of the real rifle dinna grab me either, go figger :-) but hey, jus cuz i dinna like the gun, doesn't mean the rest of it doesn't ROCK!!! -p (24 years ago, 22-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update 08/17/01

(...) Ahh, I think you can make something once you put your mind to it. You got some good stuff on your site. (...) Yeah, that's the idea. Carry the mecha to a point near the action, drop it off, and wait for the call to pick it up. (...) It can do (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New Mecha: The Shikari

(...) Hi Joel, That's pretty darn good. It seems to have a decent shape to it. The wingy bits on the back look good. I'd like to see better pictures of the torso and maybe the cockpit, however. Thanks for sharing. :^) ~Grand Admiral Muffin Head (24 years ago, 22-Aug-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  synergy?

howD all, sandlin and i were yakkin about how our building styles have evolved as a result of seeing all of the the other folks stuff out there, and so i thought i'd post to drum up some responses.... How many of us feel like our skills are (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)
