That's right. TLC didn't use the minifig-sized horses for Belville ponies
simply because they wouldn't fit. And they made horses perfectly proportioned
for Belville figures, and even bigger horses just for Scala dolls. So, to me
it's more likely that they have a special bear cub mold for Scala. :)
But I suppose they might simply use the Belville dogs for 3150 Scala "Puppy
Playground".
Incidentally, I've noticed that Scala often follows the themes already used in
Belville: house, nursery, camping + horseback riding, picnic, ice cream shop,
and beach or swimming pool. And now we get "Puppy Playground" possibly
inspired by the Belville 5840 Garden Playmates. Actually I have no problem with
that, as long as Scala doesn't copy the fairy tale theme.
